As Vision for Tomorrow enters its second year, much progress has already come to fruition. The highlight of 2009 was the opening of the Orthopaedic Unit, which features private patient rooms.
The Orthopaedic Unit was designed to offer a warm and healing atmosphere, and it looks as though we have successfully captured that feeling. Since opening, the Unit has been filled to capacity with much fanfare. Patients have commented about how wonderful the nurses are and they love the showers and the big TVs. Family members have also appreciated the large recliner chairs because they offer a comfortable place to rest during their loved one’s hospitalization.

Vision for Tomorrow will continue to give us the means to explore possibilities and find solutions to better meet the needs of patients for generations to come. Every month we will continue to share our good news about Vision for Tomorrow. For more information, visit lakewoodhospital.org/vision.
