The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute's Cerebrovascular Center at Lakewood Hospital

 

Other hospitals may care for patients suffering from stroke or other neurological conditions.  But Lakewood Hospital, in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, offers highly specialized health care that involves advanced and complex procedures and treatments for patients in a community hospital setting. 

 

This is made possible through Lakewood's Neuro Integrated Care Unit and through the acquisition of state-of-the-art imaging equipment which provides exceptional engineering and resolution.  It allows the physician to perform three-dimensional rotational angiography and to obtain clearer and faster images.

 

The highly skilled team includes board-certified Cleveland Clinic physicians who specialize in endovascular neurosurgery, cerebrovascular neurosurgery and neuroradiology. 

 

These physicians perform prophylactic and therapeutic interventions for patients with all cerebrovascular conditions, including ischemic stroke, intracranial cerebral aneurysms, cerebral arteriovenous malformations, head, neck and spine tumors, traumatic vascular injuries and carotid atherosclerosis.

 

Procedures are performed by the Cleveland Clinic team in the Lakewood Hospital Angiography Suite, which was established in 2002.
