You may be one of the 5.7 million Americans with undiagnosed diabetes! Join us for a day of free tests and education about diabetes.
The American Diabetes Alert Day is a one-day “wake-up” call to inform our communities about the seriousness of diabetes, particularly when diabetes is left undiagnosed and untreated. Early diagnosis is critical to successful treatment and delaying or preventing some of its complications, such as heart disease, blindness, kidney disease, stroke, amputation and death.
The Lakewood Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center and the American Diabetes Association are teaming up to find and help people who are undiagnosed. Receive free tests, such as blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings on Diabetes Alert Day, Tuesday, March 24.
