Continuing Education
Continuing education is an important component of what nurses do. It has such a significant impact on patient care. That is why Lakewood Hospital is committed to providing quality continuing education.
We offer a broad variety of educational opportunities in collaboration with the Organization and Staff Development Department of Fairview, Lakewood and Lutheran Hospital.
Nursing Advancement Fund
The Lakewood Hospital Nursing Advancement Fund was designed to enable the Hospital to further enhance nursing as a profession by supporting continued education and other professional growth for the nursing staff. Funds may be used for such endeavors that may include, but are not limited to: continuing education and training, and nursing program development.
The goals of the programs and initiatives supported by the Fund are to promote the development of enhanced nursing expertise, elevate the practice of nursing care to the highest standards, and enable the Hospital to continue recruiting and retaining the best and the brightest among nursing personnel at all levels.
The Lakewood Hospital Nursing Advancement Fund is supported by philanthropic contributions to Lakewood Hospital Foundation from a myriad of sources, primarily the annual Hats Off! benefit, as well as individual contributions, hospital family members and the community in general.
Certifications
The Department of Nursing at Lakewood Hospital supports an environment where nursing personnel can grow professionally.
