Starry Night, one of the biggest and best street parties, raises funds for two worthwhile causes – the Lakewood Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center and the Lakewood Arts Festival Scholarship Fund.

 

Last year, we had an overwhelming response from local artists who submitted original works for the Starry Night auction. This year, we are once again extending the invitation to local artists to submit an entry for our live and silent auctions.

 

This year’s theme: Summer Nights, Under the Stars…

 

You can create your interpretation of this theme using almost any medium, including painting, drawing, photography, glass, collage, clay, sculpture or textiles. Please limit your piece to no larger than three feet by three feet.

 

All completed entries must be dropped of at Local Girl Gallery, 16106 Detroit Avenue, by Saturday, June 27. Entries submitted after the cut off date will not be included in the program book. NOTE: Age 8 years and up are eligible to participate. With your submission, please provide your name, along with a brief bio, title of artwork submitted, and materials used. A tax receipt will be issued.

 

The artwork will be displayed at Lakewood Hospital, 3rd floor atrium, from July 15 to July 30 for public viewing and auctioned on July 31, at the Starry Night fundraising event.

 

Due to space limitations, all submissions will be juried for inclusion in the live and silent auctions. All submissions become the property of Lakewood Hospital.
